REPORTS TO:
Social Performance Coordinator

The Corporate Social Investment Coordinator will primarily support the Community Investment portfolio but will also be required to support the broader Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility processes as required.

They will further be required to Support all aspects of assigned Community Investment work plans/projects, scheduling, resource assignment, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, and assisting the team to meet milestones / final deliverables and reporting.

SOCIETAL STUDIES

Contribute to the development and implementation of the Social Labour Plan (SLP)
Support the implementation of Local Economic Development (LED) projects
Participate in various Municipal local development forums as necessary

COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS

Facilitate and manage Community Investment Plan design and its implementation (including monitoring and implementation of its projects)
Identify relevant and credible partners (implementing agents) for Community Investments (NGOs, associations, International agencies )
Communicate with Finance Department to ensure reporting towards obtaining and maintaining BBBEEE rating
Record all activities of community investment in MOST and provide relevant information when required

SOCIETAL REPORTING

Assist the Social performance Coordinator with the information required for societal reporting and contribute where needed.
Coordinate quarterly Corporate Social Investment committee meetings and maintain meeting minutes
Draft Terms of Reference for Community Projects Proposals, based on the company's local Community Investment Strategy;
Draft and implement reporting guidelines to be followed by implementing partners;
Support the drafting of relevant contractual agreements and coordinates meetings and signing of contracts;
Engage with the Compliance Officer to ensure project integrity and accountability
Take responsibility for the quality and timely submission of CSI report;
Support implementing contractors where required with EIS/ESHIA impact assessment phase;
Contribute to risk identification and mitigation measure in collaboration with Community Projects Advisor;
Contribute to the resolution of grievance related to projects impacts by means of social development;
Communicate with Community Liaison Officers to ensure community involvement in the project selection and implementation (both projects linked to impact management and voluntary contributions);
Arrange regular meetings with implementing agents;
Continual stakeholder engagement to enhance opportunities for collaboration with other competent stakeholders including Community Based Organisations, NGOs, NPOs, Agencies etc.;
Set up excel to manage financial budgets and ensure alignment with company local financial management systems;
Coordinate with Procurement Officer to ensure adherence to the procurement procedure;
Conduct regular field visit to ensure appropriate implementation and delivery according to predetermined project milestones;
Create, write and coordinate professional and accurate monthly and quarterly reports on community project field monitoring and situational analysis and report to the CSI Committee;
Through the Community Projects Advisor, identify, develops and maintains stakeholder relationship (_i.e_ Government, Donor organization, NGOs, communities) where necessary;
Ensure that implementing agent's risk management plan is communicated to the Community Projects Advisor
Work closely with the Communications Manager to identify communication opportunities on the CSI projects.
