Description

Shipping and vehicle logistics company, has a permanent position for a Damages and Fleet Maintenance Co-ordinator available. You will be responsible for effectively co-ordinate and monitor the damages, repairs, and claims processing, with continuous improvement of productivity, capacity management and agility to act on fluctuations at VDC and every applicable operation's in KZN. Monitor the performance with regards to damage repairs, collating repair quotes and claims handling, and initiate necessary actions to improve continuously, at process, staff, and systems performance levels. Ensure optimal fleet management, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with operations requirements. Based in KZN region.

Requirements:


  • Grade 1
  • Computer Literate in MS Office Applications, V-Motion and SAP.
  • Must be proactive.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Must be results driven.
  • Must be accurate and have attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be able to work overtime/weekends and shifts.
  • Worked in the logistics/supply chain environment for 5 years.

Duties:


  • Monitor and maintain system to ensure correct standard operating procedure is followed.
  • Capturing, collecting, distributing, and maintaining system information on system daily.
  • Fleet Maintenance and repairs for all fleet units in the KZN region to ensure vehicles are licensed and repaired according to the safety standards.
  • Ensure that all QPR's and Incident Reports are completed and submitted in collaboration with SHEQ to TSAM on time and that all the relevant documents are in the correct TSAM formats.
  • Ensure insurance claims are submitted timeously and monitored.
  • Submit accurate data/reports at all times.
  • Follow up and ensure that all repairs are done timeously by within the relevant lead time.
  • Investigate all damages accurately and timeously.
  • Reduce damages by conducting root cause investigations and determining effective counter measures to reduce damages.
  • All damages actioned with Site Managers approval only.
  • Capture and update all Damage KPl's on relevant systems as required.
  • Submit daily damages updates to relevant Supervisors, Line Managers, Regional Operations Manager and SHEQ Department.
  • Escalate any standard deviations or issues picked up requests on site to all Supervisors, Managers or SHEQ to follow up as required.
  • Ensure that company is not held liable for damages not attributed to company.
  • Drive awareness campaigns conducted weekly on damage trends.
  • Control the vehicle movements in the DAD area ensuring vehicle movement in and out done timeously.
  • Ensure that all touched ups done by the relevant supplier is cosigned by the company. Ensure that all new K-Sheets are placed on the repaired unit in the Hospital area and moved out to relevant section timeously.
  • Ensure damages do not exceed the allocated budget in line with RM requirements against the P&L.
  • Ensure Linear data is captured accordingly.
  • Ensure damage incentive data is completed per cycle per department (KZN) and submitted to payroll/finance.
  • Ensure the parking bays/lanes in the facilities are up to standard to eliminate risks of accidents evaluate with SHEQ and be involved in RA development and update.
  • Ensure that fleet is distributed accordingly without costing for additional rentals.
  • Ensure that all site consumables are sufficient to continue without business stoppage.
  • Assists facilitate damages and accident investigations at the Kaalfontein yard as well as submit insurance claims and directly communicate with client (TFR GP/KZN).
  • Ensure Obeya data is accurate, up to date and available always.
  • Ensure Obeya Stats is updated at least a day in advance and all documents, photos, incident reports and graphs are accurate and displayed as per TSAM standards. Attend weekly Obeya meeting.
  • Ensure Asekai data is accurately monitored and always maintained and continuously available.
  • Attend and present daily Asekai Meeting.
  • Perform any other lawful instruction within the Company's scope of work as and when required.
