    Job Description:

    The primary objective of this position is to serve as an Investigator/Auditor within the CIT environment, focusing on resolving cash losses, identifying culprits, and implementing preventative measures. This role also involves proactively auditing operation branches, scrutinizing procedures, and suggesting policies to prevent future cash losses, reduce armed robberies, and minimize claims.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To conduct thorough research and investigations into the activities of criminal elements and crime syndicates targeting the CIT Division.
    • To identify hotspots where armored vehicles or cross-pavement operations are targeted, and initiate intelligence-driven operations to apprehend the perpetrators.
    • To systematically investigate internal cash losses, seeking and suggesting preventative actions.
    • To compile and maintain case dockets containing sufficient evidence to apprehend and initiate prosecution or other necessary actions against both internal and external criminal elements and/or negligent employee behavior.
    • To submit processed evidence to relevant government authorities for necessary action.
    • To monitor and support relevant government authorities during the aforementioned actions.
    • To network with the SAPS, National Prosecuting Authority, Directorate of Special Operations, and any other relevant organization identified as necessary to achieve the said objectives.
    • To maintain a database containing information gathered during the research and investigation processes.
    • To perform audits at operational branches to proactively identify shortfalls.
    • To question current operational procedures and suggest changes to enhance them.
    • To closely liaise with the CIT Executive and other relevant managers to ensure that cash losses and armed robberies are prevented or kept to a minimum.

    Requirements:

    • A Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification.
    • A valid Code 08 Driver's license (B).
    • A clear criminal record.
    • Accreditation by PSIRA with at least Grade B and CIT.
    • Completed Firearm training in handgun and preferably rifle, with a valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate.
    • Computer literacy within the MS Windows environment.
    • Ability to work irregular hours and travel extensively.
    • A minimum of 2/3 years' experience in the security industry, acting as an investigator or similar role.
