Description
Are you passionate about training and development? Do you excel in coordinating and managing training programs? Sub-Saharan Africa College of Technology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Training Coordinator to join our team in Midrand and Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer training programs and initiatives across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with department heads and trainers to identify training needs and create comprehensive training plans.
- Schedule and organize training sessions, ensuring availability of trainers, facilities, and training materials.
- Manage training logistics, including participant registration, venue bookings, equipment setup, and catering arrangements.
- Communicate with participants regarding training details, schedules, and requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records, including participant attendance, evaluations, and feedback.
- Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the development of training materials, presentations, and resources.
- Collaborate with external training providers, vendors, and stakeholders as needed.
- Support the coordination of trainingrelated events, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
- Diploma or degree in Training and Development or a related field.
- Proven experience in training administration or coordination, preferably in an educational or professional development setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and training management software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work effectively in a college office setting with frequent interruptions.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a pleasant and courteous telephone manner.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Mature, empathetic, and professional demeanour when dealing with students and faculty.
- Independent selfstarter with good initiative.
- Ability to collaborate, motivate, and adapt to change.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Cheerful, relaxed, respectful, and pleasing personality.
College Hours:
Monday through Friday, from 7:10 am to 4:00 pm.
