Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for efficient purchasing of inventory, supplies, and capital equipment.
  • Receives purchase requisitions and verifies for accuracy and authorization(s)
  • Periodically evaluates suppliers and advises Management when vendors are not meeting requirements.
  • Evaluates, recommend and or source new/substitute vendors, when necessary.
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders; determines and negotiates prices, delivery, and credit terms; buys according to established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate purchasing records.
  • Responsible for evaluating, assessing, and selecting vendors based on capabilities, performance, and consistent quality.
  • Maintains rapport and good working relationships with vendors; keeps accurate vendor records.
  • Evaluates inventory quantity price breaks to determine the most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relation to the company's cost of capital.
  • Expedites purchase orders as necessary and ensures delivery of purchased items for uninterrupted manufacturing flow.
  • Keep all filing updated and records according to ISO 9001: 2015

Experience Needed:

  • 5 Years of buying/purchasing experience in an engineering/manufacturing or mining sector.
  • Purchasing of raw materials, steel bars, profile & laser cut, consumables for workshop, etc
  • Purchasing system experience, not creating orders on excel. i.e. Sage/Quick books.
  • Strong Admin Skills

Salary:
R17, ,500.00 per month.

  • Working hours:
Monday to Thursday - 07:30 to 16:30

Friday - 07:30 to 15:00

Saturday - 08:00 to 13:00 (only two Saturdays in a calendar month)


Salary:
From R17,500.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Benoni, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
