    Business Development Manager

    Summary:

    The Business Development Manager will be responsible for marketing support to our civil laboratories, targeting existing and potential clients. The incumbent will provide feedback, submit reports, tenders, and quotations, ensuring that the laboratories and Regional Managers receive all leads and stay up-to-date with information.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Engage with local markets to determine trends and competitive environments.
    • Focused on Regional and Global Industrial Services.
    • Conduct market analysis and develop business plans to grow the SGS business in line with the Global strategy.
    • Identify acquisitions and implement business plans with local and regional teams.
    • Raise the profile of SGS within the Industrial Services sector through market research and analysis.
    • Implement business plans with national, regional, and international teams.
    • Support regional development of strategies and implementation of plans.
    • Cultivate close working relationships between regional and local Industrial Services teams to identify sales opportunities.
    • Establish and manage tender contracts, supervising cost calculation and internal rate structures.
    • Identify necessary qualifications for acceptance in local markets.
    • Cooperate with other BDMs to maximize sales efforts for specific projects and global clients.
    • Identify opportunities for other Business units.
    • Support preparation of sales and marketing material, attending exhibitions and promotional activities.
    • Prepare regional sales forecasts and feasibility studies for new services.
    • Work closely with other strategic business units in the Industrial services business line.
    • Collaborate with Global and local Experts to develop the business.

    Essential Authorities:

    • Cease use of equipment deemed a safety hazard or enter hazardous environments without proper knowledge and protection.
    • Stop work affecting service quality and take action to address the issue.
    • Initiate formal improvement requests when system deviations occur or nonconformity is identified.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business or related field (advantage).
    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial services/project Management environment.
    • Experience within Civil Engineering Industry compulsory, familiar with construction materials testing methods.
