    Introduction

    We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Fastway Couriers. This role is responsible for the financial health of Fastway Durban, producing financial reports, and developing strategies based on financial research to guide senior executives in making informed business decisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor day-to-day financial operations including payroll, invoicing, and transactions.
    • Oversee financial department employees including financial assistants and accountants.
    • Manage outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs.
    • Track company performance to identify areas for improvement.
    • Minimize financial risk by researching and analyzing market trends.
    • Provide insightful information to senior executives for long-term and short-term decision-making.
    • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and present them to stakeholders.
    • Stay updated with technological advances and accounting software.
    • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
    • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
    • Motivate teamwork within the finance/HR department.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matriculation Certificate
    • At least 3-5 years' experience in logistics as a Financial Manager
    • Excellent reporting and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Knowledge of Fastway systems and programs
