    Description

    Cargo Business Development Lead

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cargo Business Development Lead to join our team at Kamo Placements CC.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement the cargo business model, driving short-, medium- and long-term strategy for the group.
    • Gain insight into current market opportunities and account profiles to inform strategic decisions.
    • Understand the needs of all cargo stakeholders and develop strategies to support them effectively.
    • Drive profitability and increase revenue through innovative cargo concept development in partnership with stakeholders.
    • Provide technical and professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
    • Buildbuild, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals. Implement remedial actions where required.
    • Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive excellence.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or a related field (3 years - 360 credits).
    • 8 years' Operational experience in Logistics, with a proven track record of success.
    • 2 years' Logistics Management experience, with expertise in specialist areas within the function.
    • High level expertise in multiple specialist areas within the function, including knowledge of code B and motor vehicle license requirements.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Package and Remuneration:

    The successful candidate will receive an annual package that reflects their skills and experience.
