    Cold Store Manager Wetton Market Related Salary

    A leading wholesale & distribution company specializing in the transportation and storage of white & red meat, vegetables, dairy, seafood, and processed meat is actively seeking an experienced Cold Store Manager. This role demands expertise in the FMCG industry. The main purpose of the role is to manage Cold Store operations, staff and respective warehouse management systems. You will be responsible for managing the capturing, monitoring and maintenance of information/data on the Warehouse Management System (Macros). You will also be required to manage internal and external client operations. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and organized with good planning, problem-solving, management and interpersonal skills.

    Minimum Skills and Experience:

    Minimum of Matric or NQF Level 4 or higher,

    3-5 Years Management Experience within Manufacturing/Warehouse Industry,

    Experience in the Cold Storage Environment is Essential,

    Self-motivated, organized and responsible (stable work history),

    Relevant knowledge of Logistics as well as WMS and Distribution Software,

    Knowledge/Experience with Food Safety and HACCP,

    Knowledge/Experience with Occupational Health & Safety,

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs,

    Valid Drivers License,

    Ability to manage time effectively and work well under pressure.

    Duties, Requirements and Responsibilities Include:

    Opening and Closing of Cold Store,

    Plan, manage and evaluate all logistic operations,

    Oversee maintenance and monitoring of Freezer Room temperatures,

    Receiving, Dispatching and Inventory Control Procedures,

    Must have a good understanding of customs procedures and requirements,

    Operate and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS),

    Management of staff rosters, overtime and staff discipline in accordance with company policy,

    Ensure staff and supervisors adhere to your instructions and perform their duties as per their job descriptions,

    General Administrative Duties and Procedures, including but not limited to filing, documenting and auditing documents,

    Ensure timely loading/offloading of vehicles according to planned routes and delivery schedules,

    Identify and resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports or customer issues,

    Good Telephonic and Interpersonal Communication,

    Handling of Samples,

    Manage Food Safety Audits and related Documentation,

    Handling Customer Queries and Requests,

    Manage Staff Time Keeping,

    Ensure that Cold Store areas are kept clean and neat,

    Deliver support between Internal and External Parties,

    Ensure Imported Stock Procedures are followed correctly,

    Communicate Logistics with the Head Office,

    Knowledge/Experience with Supply Chain Principles, Procedures and Practices,

    Administer Receiving Books daily and ensure there are never outstanding GRVs,

    Ensure GIVs for Deliveries/Dispatched Products are accurately Captured and Processed.
