Job Title: External Reporting Specialist

Description

At Standard Bank Group, we're seeking a highly skilled External Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the group and company annual financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review the group and company annual financial statements

• Prepare the financial information to be included in prospectuses for the group's note programmes

• Facilitate the successful delivery of International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs) compliant external financial reports

• Deliver and review the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) required eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) reporting for South Africa

Qualifications and Experience

• Post Graduate Degree in Finance and Accounting

• 8-10 years of experience in statutory financial reporting at a multinational listed group of companies

• Deep specialist experience in Finance, with a focus on statutory financial reporting

Technical Competencies

• Financial Accounting

• Preparing Financial Statements

• Understanding GAAP
