Debtor's Clerk


Location:

Role summary:

To take control of all Sales Contracts, Sales Invoicing & Revenue Reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Follow up on nonpayment of invoices
  • Working closely with sales team to assess new and upcoming contracts
  • Sales Journals as needed
  • Debtors Age Analysis control
  • Contract control and updates
  • Revenue Reporting

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Extensive Debtors Control experience.
  • Good understanding of Accounting principles.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to translate an annual invoice into monthly journals.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Analytical and Problem Solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including the ability to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheets and word processing programs at a highly proficient level
  • Decision making skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Stress management skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Ability to take ownership of the complete function.

RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Matric and 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Accounting qualification preferable.
  • Highly Proficient in Spreadsheets (Excel & Google sheets)
