Description

PURPOSE
This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES

SAFETY
Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements

Promote safety performance

Conduct risk assessments

Do planned task observations

Conduct safety meetings

Ensure team members wear PPE

Investigate incidents/accidents

OPERATIONS
Maintain good housekeeping standards

Rectify process deficiencies

Ensures production targets are met

Maintains quality standards

Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production

Advise on requirements of process spares

MANAGING THE TEAM
Assign work. Monitor performance

Train and develop team members. Maintain discipline in the plant.

ADMINISTRATION
Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control and maintenance

Completes required ISO documents

Complete incident/accident investigations

Maintaining staff training records

Ensure disciplinary records to be up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12/N3

COMPSOC
SAMTRAC or equivalent

Diploma in Safety Management would be an advantage.

EXPERIENCE
5 years' experience in mining/construction as (Plant attendant/ Junior plant operator/ Plant operator.
