    Description

    Typically working within a test team but sometimes required to take sole responsibility for all aspects of testing. The test Analyst will be required to work with development teams, project managers, end users and other groups to ensure that all criteria of testing are fulfilled.

    The nature of this work generally demands a reasonable level of proficiency in the quality assurance aspects of software, as the role may involve gathering of requirements, generation of test cases and test plans, integration with software components and feedback to both the test organisation and the other teams. The ability to maintain rigorous compliance with project deliverables and industry standards is a prized asset.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining test plans
  • Providing feedback to the Development, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Project Management teams
  • Scheduling test projects
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Understanding structured test methods and processes
  • Manual and/or Automated Testing
  • Reporting
  • Key Requirements:

  • Test management tools such as QC, Spira Teams, Test Rail, XRay, Zephyr etc.
  • Experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
  • Methodologies/Frameworks such as Waterfall, V-Model and Agile
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst OR ISTQB Technical Test Analyst (Desirable)
  • ISTQB Agile (Desirable)
  • ISTQB Foundation (Essential)
  • Practical Software Testing (Essential)
  • Usability Testing (Desirable)
  • UX Testing (Desirable)
  • Mobile Testing (Desirable)
  • Must have between 1-3 years' experience in software testing
  • Bachelors or master's degrees in engineering or science related fields. Areas of study may include Network Engineering, Statistics, Management Information Systems, and Quality Assurance.
