Technical Sales Representative/ Branch Manager - Middelburg/ Witbank


Tru-Trac is a high-growth conveyor solutions manufacturer and supplier, founded in South Africa and expanding worldwide, with the purpose to optimise conveyor system performance, efficiency and safety.

We offer high performance engineered products to solve common conveyor system problems such as belt misalignment, carry back, material loss, loading zone optimisation, improving safety and preventing conveyor component damage.


We are looking for an
experienced Sales Representative in the Middelburg area to take end-to-end responsibility for the growth and retention of customers in the region.

You will be accountable for managing key customer accounts, as well as planning and implementing growth focused initiatives to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.


What You Need To Succeed:


  • Grade 12 and a Valid Driver's License
  • 3 years+ experience in technical sales, managing relationships and clients ideally in mining industry, ideally in the Middelburg/ Witbank area
  • 5 year+ experience working on conveyor components
  • A proven ability to offer sound technical advice, gain sales and grow market share.
  • Appropriate background experience, training, product knowledge and technical understanding of conveying systems.
  • Manage fullcycle business opportunities from lead generation through to closing the deal and oversee an effective implementation plan
  • Strong planning and time management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A problem solver focused on execution; able to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Significant commercial awareness and adept at prioritising most impactful tasks/projects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Literate and competent in writing reports.
  • Able and willing to travel

  • Assist with the marketing and selling of the products throughout South Africa, this includes visiting our distributors
  • Survey conveyor belt systems and
  • Write up and send reports of these surveys to customers
  • Deliver the products to the customers & Install, where necessary
  • Complete weekly call reports and planning
  • Give feedback on the installation, performance, operation & effectiveness of the products
  • Attend trade shows to assist in marketing of the company's products
  • To update the company database with current and potential customers
  • Manage and Supervise your installation teams and oversee operations of the Middelburg Branch
  • Report to your supervisor
