    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee production systems in our factory
    • Provide effective recommendations to improve processes

    The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to optimise production processes.

    Key Duties

    1. Plan, manage, and implement production strategies
    2. Design and implement cost-saving changes to plant and facilities
    3. Develop and implement improved production processes
    4. Maximise productivity of machinery and workers
    5. Analyse current production methods and identify areas for improvement
    6. Determine equipment requirements and layout
    7. Ensure adherence to product specifications and quality control measures
    8. Train, supervise, and manage production line workers
    9. Ensure adequate staffing levels on the production line
    10. Increase speed and efficiency of production processes
    11. Implement quality control measures to ensure high-quality products
    12. Educate employees on safe operation of machinery
    13. Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues
    14. Maintain equipment through hiring technicians as needed
    15. Foster open communication with clients and suppliers

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification
    • 5+ years' experience in process planning and design
    • Possession of industry-related professional certifications
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills
    • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques
    • Experience managing teams and leading projects

    • Improve product quality and reduce costs
    • Optimise manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflow and space requirements
    • Assure product and process quality through effective testing methods
    • Analyse and report on production processes and methods
    • Lead, support, and guide Teams to achieve maximum output
    • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, and suppliers
