Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet operational and market demands.
• Monitor daily production activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Analyze operational data and adjust plans to optimize output.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

• Ensure all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits.
• Investigate and report incidents, implementing corrective actions.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and manage production staff, including miners, engineers, and support teams.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and mentor employees to enhance skills and performance.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace environment.

Resource and Equipment Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and effective utilization of mining equipment and machinery.
• Plan and allocate resources, including manpower and materials, to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

• Prepare and manage budgets for production operations.
• Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare production reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and compliance activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in mining safety and operations (e.g., Mine managers Certificate) will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years in coal mining operations, with at least 6 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience with underground or surface mining methods.
• Strong knowledge of coal mining processes and technologies.
• Familiarity with mining software and equipment maintenance systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
