The Appeals, Discipline & Faculty Grievances (ADFG) Office is responsible for managing the administration of the Governing Council's quasi-judicial functions. This includes academic discipline, non-academic discipline, academic appeals, grievances, tenure appeals, and clinical academic hearings.
The ADFG Office provides ongoing support to various committees and panels, such as the Academic Appeals Committee, the Quasi-Judicial Coordinator University Tribunal, and the Discipline Appeals Board.
The incumbent works independently with limited supervision, overseeing the overall management and operations of the ADFG Office. This includes direct high-level support to the Director, preparing and analyzing statistical reports, maintaining departmental databases and websites, and assisting with committee work.
Key responsibilities include developing business processes and systems, identifying operational priorities, working on special projects, and providing secretarial and administrative services to senior members of the University.
The incumbent must maintain absolute confidentiality and neutrality in a complex environment, interacting with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, and external community members.
