Job Purpose:

Bidvest International Logistics (BIL), Pretoria is looking to build a group of skilled Workshop Technician in order to successfully win an exciting tender for a world-renowned automotive manufacturer.

The position will focus on all service and repair jobs including any other facility duties as required. The workshop technician will report to the Facility Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Valid Code 08 Drivers License.

- +/-2 years' experience in Automotive Manufacturing Industry.

5+years' experience as a Mechanic/ Technician
BSc/N6/ BEng Mechanical Engineering
Trade in Motor Mechanic
2+ years as a Master Mechanic will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Quick response to Customer queries and resolving thereof.
Order necessary parts from the Parts Department counter or parts warehouse.
Report and inspect faults detected other than those that have been presented or other needs for repair/ replacements to the Workshop Supervisor.
Quote on all defects on the vehicle and inform of items which may require attention in the future, including panel outwork and tyres windscreens.
Complete of the service schedules attached to job card according to manufacturer's requirements.
Perform test drive to ensure work is completed correctly prior to handing to Workshop Supervisor for final inspection.
Repair customer vehicles as per requirement by client.
Ensure compliance to good hygiene and housekeeping disciplines within all areas under responsibilities.
Ensure only vehicles that have approval to be worked on is parked within the facility.
Carry out general maintenance tasks at the workshop.
Ensure & maintain high level of Inventory accuracy of all items required for completion of duties.
Ensure processes and procedures are followed as per the customer expectation.
Report of any incident/deviations as and when it happens.
Completion job cards.,
