Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (which include but are not limited to)

Franchise Relationships / Business Results

  • Ensure Operational Excellence in line with any audit carried out
  • Acts as an advocate for the Franchisee and the Company, ensuring both points of view are clearly communicated
  • Identifies priority Franchisees and stores through performance measurement, ensuring topperforming franchisees are able to grow whilst assisting those not yet ready for growth
  • Coaches the Franchisee to improve store performance
  • Provides rewards and recognition for Franchisees and their Management Teams
  • Organizes and conducts Franchise Business Meetings quarterly and/or according to Regional practice. Provides recommendations on growth and rewrite status to the Franchise Executive.
  • Assists the Franchisee in reviewing the development and execution of reinvestment plans on an annual basis to include the opening of stores, rebuilds, remodels, equipment purchases, etc.
  • Ensure revamps/refurbishment of Franchisee stores are done within an approved timeline
  • Assist where necessary in drawing up letters and communications where franchisees need to be held accountable to their franchise agreement(s)
  • Recommends and coordinates the assistance of Regional Support Staff when necessary
  • Assists in the training and development of selected individuals as well as joint managing their Regional Training Manager
  • Identifies presents and implements one special project per annum. The special project should be formally presented to FE and structured around improving the operations / financial performance of the region and could be used to other regions as necessary
  • Continually look for new sites, motivating findings to FE
  • Assisting in evaluating new franchisees and advising on who best fits the opportunity when it arises
  • Ensure the standards of operations and support are the best in the industry, and in line with the brand, be able to retain the best franchise of South Africa status

People

  • Demonstrates and reinforces the leadership behaviors to gain commitment from Franchisees and the respective store teams
  • Manage the trainers, by conducting performance reviews, identifying development areas and addressing by providing relevant training, scheduling and planning of weekly/monthly tasks
  • Identify, plan, implement and monitor the personal development (growth/career path) of trainers
  • Identifying training needs within the region and utilizing resources to ensure training plans are introduced to the franchisee trainers or training store(s).
  • Giving feedback on the ability/performance of the franchisee's assigned trainers to FE and the franchisee minimum once per quarter

QSC/Sales Building

  • Protects the brand to ensure stores meet company QSC (quality, service cleanliness), safety and sanitation standards, through the completion of quarterly audits and training
  • Put any updates or new audits systems in place that are needed to help ensure consistency of the brand in all the stores
  • Consults and is accountable for working shouldertoshoulder with each Franchisee to improve the results of store systems (scheduling, ordering, training, planned maintenance, etc.) to create and accomplish longterm store objectives
  • Assists the Franchisee to ensure appropriate staffing exists to build the business
  • Uses all information resources available such as Gap Analysis, and Customer scorecard satisfaction Measurement, etc. to identify opportunities and threats to build a business plan to optimize market potential
  • Coordinates implementation and execution of new products and processes within the stores
  • Works with Franchisees to ensure there is an ongoing local marketing plan for each restaurant
  • Help ensure national plans and strategies are understood and well managed within the stores
  • Hold quarterly business reviews with each franchisee and their management teams, using a scorecard as a guideline to generate conversations and understanding of the business that leads to constructive action plans that will implement the necessary changes in their store(s) into the following quarter and beyond.
  • Compile action plans based on Audit results.
  • Coordinate regularly with any third party that adds value to the stores, brand and franchisees
  • Benchmark all financials
  • Update scorecards data
  • Build relationships with counterparts where the brand is present and ensure each and every store is aligned to the associate brand's standards
  • Ensure franchisees are passing their VA brand standards and actioning planning each failing with these audits
  • Recruit trainers from within when seen and are needed with assistance from HR

Training

  • Manage and ensure that the implementation of the training is carried out correctly
  • Ensure Trainers are trained on all training programmes and operational processes
  • Monthly meetings with Trainers and managers/Franchisees
  • Conduct Training needs analysis and Ide
