    SPA MANAGER

    Boutique Hotel & Spa - KZN Midlands, South Africa

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled SPA Manager to lead our boutique hotel's spa operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spa management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the spa, including staff management, scheduling, and inventory control.
    • Develop and implement spa menus, treatments, and packages to meet guest expectations.
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled therapists and spa staff.
    • Manage spa budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure profitability.
    • Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure excellent guest satisfaction.

    Requirements:

    1. Diploma in Beauty Specialist, Health & Skin Care, Beauty Therapy, Somatology, or Cosmetology (2-year Diploma).
    2. Managerial experience in Spa, Day Spa, or Cruise Ship environment.
    3. Expertly groomed and highly presentable.
    4. Computer confident, including MS Office, Booking & Spa Management Software (ESP & OPERA).
    5. Excellent command of English (speak & write) - we deal with primarily international guests.
    6. Organised, mature, confident, and strong leadership qualities.
    7. Able to perform therapies when operationally required.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    1. At least 5+ Years in Spa employment of any level.
    2. 3+ Years in a Managerial role (Supervisor / Assistant Spa Manager / Manager).
    3. Cruise Ship employment experience highly beneficial.
    4. Resort or Private Game Reserve / Lodge / Boutique Spa experience highly beneficial.
    5. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, administration, guest relations, recruitment, SOP, training, and operations.
