Key Purpose
- To manage and oversee a litigation recovery and liability portfolio ensuring litigation efficiencies by managing attorney performance by increasing returns on recoveries and optimizing savings on liability claims with minimum cost.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to - Achievement of monthly targets
- Identify all viable recoverable litigation claims.
- Maximum profitability on litigation recovery portfolio
- Maximum profitability on litigation liability portfolio
- Short turnaround time on finalisation of recoveries
- Accurate, timely administration
- Stakeholder engagement with clients and brokers
- Adherence to risk and compliance requirements
- Teamwork, selfmanagement, and alignment with Discovery values
- Attorney management.
Education and Experience
- Matric (Essential)
- LL. B or other legal equivalent qualification (Essential).
- Admitted attorney with a minimum of 2 years post article experience (Advantageous).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shortterm insurance recoveries and liability department (Essential)
- Attorney Management (Advantageous)
- In depth Knowledge of Civil Procedure and Law of Delict (Essential).
