    Description

    Job Title: Specialist, ALM Systems Development & Support

    Business Segment: Group Functions

    Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

    This specialist will lead and drive the Liquidity Risk and Assets & Liability Management (ALM) production cycle for the bank. The role will involve utilising applicable liquidity, interest rate risk in the banking book and funds transfer pricing calculation engine to maintain high quality data and comply with regulatory requirements.

    The specialist will design and validate inputs and configurations of the calculation engine, drive projects in line with regional requirements, and ensure efficient functionality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Liquidity Risk and Assets & Liability Management (ALM) production cycle.
    • Utilise the liquidity, interest rate risk in the banking book and funds transfer pricing calculation engine.
    • Maintain high quality data and comply with regulatory requirements.
    • Design and validate inputs and configurations of the calculation engine.
    • Drive projects in line with regional requirements.
    • E nsure efficient functionality.

    Requirements:

    • 6-8 years experience in Treasury Capital Management and Finance & Value Management.
    • Applying mathematical and statistical skills in designing and reviewing models.
    • Able to automate models using SQL, SAS and/or VB.
    • Understanding of OLAB and ability to design multiple dimension analyses.
    • Experience in working with a risk calculation engine.
    • Knowledge of, and experience in, market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk or other risk disciplines.
    • Specialist Asset and Liability Management (ALM) experience from a large complex, international organisation.
    • Experience specifically in understanding the Liquidity Risk and Assets and Liability Management (ALM) production cycle.

    Education:

    • Type of Qualification: First Degree.
    • Field of Study: Finance and Accounting, Mathematical Sciences.
