- Grow a new or established territory of clients and maintain strong relationships with farmers.
- Achieve targets as set out by management.
- Outline and achieve distribution and growth objectives/sales goals within a specific geographic area.
- Introduce innovative solutions, promote improved distribution, and provide client beneficial reports.
- Stay up-to-date on business/market conditions, plan sales efforts, recognize new opportunities, and maintain necessary territory records.
- Build trust and confidence with farmers through product knowledge, presentations, and objection handling.
- Publish sales and admin reports on activities and circulate them to management.
- Matric qualification.
- Sc./diploma/degree and/or previous sales background.
- Previous experience as an Agronomist / Agriculture related sales experience.
- Work experience in the agricultural inputs industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Programs.
- Decision-making and planning skills to analyze information, evaluate results, and make best decisions.
- Ability to identify new opportunities and exploit them for the company's benefit.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques and concepts relevant to the agriculture sector.
