    Description

    Coloplast has an opportunity for a Stoma Care Nurse to join our South African nursing team.

    As a registered nurse, this individual provides clinical expertise in pre and post-operative services and the day-to-day management of ostomates. They will be responsible for representing Coloplast as a clinical expert and maintaining professional credentials and education to stay current with industry developments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical guidance and support to patients with stomas, including those undergoing planned surgical procedures and living with a stoma.
    • Support in-hospital stoma clinics in conjunction with hospital-employed staff and set up new stoma clinics for follow-up visits.
    • Develop and deliver education programs to internal and external customers and end-users on topics related to ostomy care and living with a stoma.
    • Represent Coloplast at national and regional conferences and tradeshows, sharing key clinical learnings and opportunities for growth.

    Requirements

    • Registered Nurse with a bachelor's degree and experience in a clinical setting working with patients and/or end-users.
    • PREFERRED: SASA Stoma certification and previous medical industry experience.
    • Domicile: Greater Durban area.

    Essential Skills and Abilities

    • Effective written and presentation skills, ability to read, analyze and interpret clinical publications.
    • Proven success with organization and time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to tailor training and education to serve multiple audiences, high attention to clinical outcomes and follow-through.
    • Self-driven with the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and support internal and external customers and end-users.
