Job Description

Our client is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their Team.

• You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade administration, monitoring and maintenance of the system software
• Monitoring and responding to system alarms and events
• Ensuring that the system meets the uptime and availability requirements
• Monitoring the system activity and ensuring access to the system
• Ensuring that the infrastructure and the systems are adequately documented
• Ensuring that the systems hardware and software problems are investigated , diagnosed and resolved
• Managing and monitoring system resources
• Provide 24/7 system support functions

Qualifications

• Matric
• National Certificate (IT), BSc (IT), or industry related diploma
• ITIL foundation certificate

Skills

• 2 + Years experience with Linux and Microsoft platforms
• 1 + Years database experience (SQL preferred)
• Must have experience troubleshooting system faults
