DESCRIPTION


The Change Management Lead forms part of a team that will be implementing a COVID-19 Vaccination project within the Mpumalanga province.

The Change Management Lead is responsible for developing and implementing change management strategies and plans throughout the different stages of the vaccination process.


PURPOSE
The Change Management Lead is to be responsible for managing the transformation and change management process.

These responsibilities also include plans and efforts to anticipate and minimize resistant behaviours from communities and stakeholders who are impacted by the changes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The development of a change management strategy and lead change management activities;
  • Establish a baseline;
  • Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plans;
  • Implement the change management strategy;
  • Integrate change management activities into the project plan;
  • Support communication efforts by enabling the design, development, delivery and management of key communications;
  • Drive a faster adaptation to change;
  • Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics;
  • Support the vaccination teams with integrating change management activities with their project plans;
  • Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance;
  • Assess the change impact;
  • Complete change management assessments;
  • Track and report issues;
  • Manage the change portfolio

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process;
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools;
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages;
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal;
  • Flexible and adaptable;
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong knowledge about the Healthcare sector, processes and systems;
  • Working knowledge of COVID19 vaccination practice and procedures;
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages;
  • Ability to problem solve;
  • Good administrative and report writing skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to take corrective action as and when required;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to meet project deadlines

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma /Degree in Project Management or equivalent;
  • Five (5) years of proven experience with change management or landscape/ in depth analysis in projects;
  • Minimum two (2) years experience as a change management lead;
  • Experience in a COVID19 programme is advantageous;
  • Must be fully vaccinated
