  • Ensuring correct picking and replenishment of all finished goods into and out of the assigned bins. Ensuring the Health & Safety including quality processes and procedure are followed. Housekeeping schedule are followed to allow a safe work environment. Responsible for accurate picking of assigned picking slips/transfers/manual documents and the wrapping of such. Responsible for picking from the correct bins and identifying or informing team leaders if a discrepancy is obtained. Ensuring safety of all staff in the work area of operations by following the OHSA act. Responsible for daily cycle counts & stock rotation and inventory controls are maintained. Responsible for daily housekeeping in and around warehouse. Responsible for leakers/damages/returns before picking commences and informing the team leaders of such. Ensuring that the completed picking slip/transfer/manual document is ticked and signed in full. Responsible for accurate stock rotation as per set guidelines and that F.I.F.O is adhered too. Responsible for the company quality standards of service to and from agents/customers and branches. Responsible for the daily checking and signing off of all equipment and machinery inside and outside warehouse being used. Ensuring the correct picking is done from the correct picking slip, transfer, and manual document. Ensuring stock is rotated correctly into and out from the correct bins daily. Ensuring correct bin allocation when storing stock, which was received from plant or foreign purchases, same applies to contractors, agents, branches. Ensuring the correct stock in line with quality being picked for dispatching purposes. Ensuring professional and prompt service when picking for a collection customer is adhered to. Ensuring that daily spot counts, quarterly counts are conducted and that any daily variances or discrepancies are investigated daily and corrected. Ensuring that the daily leakers/damages are reported on a C.A.R and physically and system wise moved to dedicated WNCQ warehouse location. Health & Safety You have a duty of care to ensure that you work in a manner that is not harmful to your own health and safety and the health and safety of others, including employees, contractors and visitors.
This duty can be exercised (but is not limited to) the following:
Reporting incidents and accidents and participating in incident and accident investigation as required. Observe and follow the Company's health & safety policies and procedures. Participating in safety training. Adhere to all safety rules policies and procedures. Ensure all aisle is kept clean and tidy to avoid incidents or accidents. Housekeeping must be done on a daily basis, machine maintenance and preliminary checks must be conducted daily. Adhering to SABS ISO standards requirements for warehouse and distribution. Creating a safer working environment with fewer accidents and incidents. Safe working area and clean incident and accident free workplace. Working Conditions Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The incumbent may have to work odd long hours at time to complete special requests or projects. Work may involve lifting, pulling or pushing of materials and products up to 30 kilograms.

Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
