Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Must have a tertiary qualification in an HR field
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Recruitment and Selection is essential
  • Must have knowledge of relevant legislation and onboarding practices
  • Must have a good understanding of recruitment best practice and structured interviewing techniques
  • An organised and structured personality will be ideal for this role
  • Ensuring thorough understanding of the vacancy and department prior to starting the process.
  • Advertising the position internally / externally as per the Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Compiling adverts that are in line with Employment Equity Process by excluding all discriminatory factors.
  • Utilising tracking and reporting tools to ensure accurate vacancy data.
  • Monitoring and tracking recruitment expenditure on agencies and compiling accurate monthly reports on costs.
  • Updating relevant statistics to evaluate placement ratios and turnaround times.
  • Compiling accurate monthly reports on the recruitment function.
  • Advising managers on recruitment policies and procedures to ensure consistent processes.
  • Compiling interview guides and ensuring they are used correctly, with sufficient process notes, records, and reporting included for every vacancy.
  • Observing the interviewing skills of Line Managements during interviews and providing coaching where gaps are identified e.g. asking illegal questions.
  • Evaluating the interview process continuously to ensure an efficient talent acquisition process.
  • Creating a continuous awareness with Line Management to consider all current legislation throughout the process.
  • Performing administrative duties to support an effective and efficient selection process and ensuring required backup.
  • Ensuring the necessary documentation is sent to the Onboarding Team and Payroll Teams within agreed timelines.
  • Ensuring accurate records of all recruitment processes are kept and stored.
  • Aligning the selection process in order to improve employment equity across the business.
  • Liaising with external recruitment agencies when required.
  • Participating in all OD initiatives (job evaluation, restructuring, culture, employee engagement activities).
  • Participating in Employee wellness activities and initiatives.
