Director, Products and Solutions

Overview

  • Drive Consumer Debit, Credit and LS strategy execution for South Africa market
  • Deliver vs. GDV, revenue objectives for Consumer Products (Credit&Debit)
  • Deliver vs. loyalty solutions revenue objectives
  • Grow market share and identify incremental business opportunities
Description of the role

  • Provide "voice of the customer" and competitive feedback in order to embed them into both cluster and regional product line strategy and product development efforts
  • Identify target customers according to their fit into product strategy
  • Serve a liaison between partners, cluster team and product team; work with credit and debit regional leads to address divisional requirements; ensure product integrity adherence
  • Feedback market requirements, identify and share product gaps to the regional and, if needed, global team
  • Train salesforce on product line attributes to improve sales process effectiveness
  • Coordinate the development of product marketing and sales support materials to appropriately position our capabilities and solutions to issuers and potentially merchants.
  • Support portfolio optimization efforts with local customers
  • Build strategic roadmap for development loyalty business in South Africa and platform capabilities in to serve issuers via an innovative and highly differentiated suite of solutions that enhance their business performance.
  • Develop solutions based on actual client needs and market trends.
  • Create financial plan and P&L in addition to managing ongoing pipeline of clients
  • Execute against the above program management and platform enhancement roadmap.
  • Partner with Advisors consulting group, CAM's and Marketing, to educate them on the Loyalty Solutions capabilities that can enable issuers to enhance their business performance and to embed Loyalty Solutions capabilities into the Client Business Agreements and ensure that Loyalty Solutions capabilities enable MasterCard to win new portfolio agreements or flip portfolio's from competition upon renewal
  • Represent MasterCard Loyalty Solutions at Customer forums and industry events; positioning us as the industry leader with highly differentiated capabilities
  • Develop pricing for the segment solutions, program management solutions and individual product benefits
All About You

  • We are looking for a highly experienced regional issuer value proposition lead with consumer value proposition design and portfolio management experience for debit and credit card programs at scale issuers of MasterCard. The person must have deep understanding of consumer segments, their needs and how to design and deliver consumer value propositions in partnership with issuers and merchants
  • Able to demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills; good networking in sales/ account teams
  • Have a good understanding of the product offering; demonstrate proven ability to develop and successfully implement new products and portfolios initiatives
  • Have a deep industry and market knowledge; have helicopter view and able to move between strategic and tactical levels
  • Have an entrepreneurial approach and vision
  • Have an experience to build and execute quantifiable plans; analytical thinking
  • Able to work in complex business environment, to multitask and manage multiple xfunctional partners
