    About the Role

    We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about water conservation, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
      • Identify and target potential clients in industries such as municipal water management, utilities, agriculture, and commercial real estate.
      • Research and analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
    • Client Relationship Management:
      • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to understand their water metering needs and provide customized solutions that are sustainable and profitable for both the customer and company.
    • Sales Process Management:
      • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely manner.
    • Sales Performance and Reporting:
      • Track and analyse sales metrics, including pipeline activity, win/loss ratios, and revenue forecasts.
      • Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Customer Support:
      • Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale, including troubleshooting technical issues, addressing inquiries, and facilitating product training as needed.
      • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and responsiveness.

    Requirements

    • Candidate Requirements:
      • Matric certification.
      • Bachelor's degree in Commercial education combined with strong technical interest or Technical education combined with strong commercial mindset, or +5 years' experience in technical solution BtoB sales.
    • Experience:
      • +5 years' experience in technical solution BtoB sales.
      • Computer literacy.
      • Technical knowledge about solutions & preferably electricity and water meters.
    • Knowledge and Skills Required:
      • Experience working with customers in large global companies as well as small and medium-sized companies.
      • Technical knowledge about solutions & preferably electricity and water meters.
      • Contract Management capabilities.
      • Solution Selling or corresponding sales approach.
      • Fluent in one South African language in addition to English – oral & written.
      • Knowledge of prepaid metering technologies.
    • Professional Qualities:
      • Ability to work on all levels of accounts & Company's organisation.
      • Strong ability to build relationships and manoeuvre between stakeholders.
      • Long-term & value-oriented focus in problem-solving.
      • Structured approach to analytical problem-solving.
      • Able to work under pressure & with complex sales cases.
      • Able to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Ambitious regarding responsibilities and achievements.
      • Results-oriented.
      • Delivers high standards of customer service.

    Additional Considerations:

    • Must have own transport.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Professional, self-motivated, and target driven.
    • Ability to travel within and/or outside of South Africa.
