Job Experience & Skills Required:


  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in FMCG market
  • Relevant Degree/ Diploma in sales or marketing
  • Good communication & negotiation skills
  • Understanding of basic business principles eg pricing, marketing, distribution
  • Proactive thinker eg evaluate situation

  • Identify potential "distributors/wholesalers" in smaller towns who currently sell to local businesses, cafes, spazas eg a Cash & Carry or a supermarket that sells to smaller retailers and consumers.
  • Negotiate listing/stocking of products.
  • Negotiate advertising/merchandising opportunities to create awareness that the store stocks the products.
  • Generate first order.
  • Build the relationship and business over few months until ready to hand over to the company to look after.
  • Areas to call on: cross border towns (eg Zim, Botswana, Mozambique); towns on SA borders (eg Musina, Komati, Beit Bridge); local towns in the area
  • Must have a valid drivers license and passport
