Specialist: Operations Logistics Plannin - Midrand, South Africa - Vodafone

Role Purpose:
The core purpose of the role will be to support the Senior Manager Spare Parts Management in National Field Operations in establishing and operating optimised spares and logistics processes specific to the Demand, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimisation and Execution activities across the various Field Operations domains.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing, updating, implementation and monitoring of processes and procedures, where it having to provide data for KPI and SLA systemic measurement.
- Total Quality Management (TQM) and Service Management through FSM and NSS System usage, supplemented with AI, RBA, and other automation techniques.
- Implementation of data harvesting and reporting to staff and systems in Spare Parts Management to optimised and maintain Spare Parts and Logistics processes.
- Develop, execute, maintain periodic business reporting.
- Execute, analyse, present, forecast, etc. Spare Parts Data on Adhoc basis to executive management.
- Participate and represent the NFO Spares Management in system and software development, integration projects and testing.
- Asset Internal Audit and/or Security & Risk in analytics and audits where Spare Parts to be traced or tracked or accounted.
- End User Support, Training or Change Management with relation to the systems and tools used in the NFO Spares Management.
- Cost / Budget management
Technical/Professional qualification:
- Matric/ Grade 1 3year Diploma/degree Elec Engineering, IT or Computer systems
- Information Technology/ Business Management/ Commerce/ Project Management, data science certifications (Advantageous)
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically in RAN, DAS, Transmission, FTTx and Maintenance related environments and facilities, including backup or alternative power resources. (Essential)
- 12 years of experience in Database systems & knowledge e.g., Oracle, SQL, BO/BI Reporting and Data harvesting (Essential)
- 1 year of experience or participation in a Test Centre of Excellence or similar environment, for production release of OSS, IT or Mobile Solutions into a Field Force Operation. (Essential)
- 12 years of experience or actively partaking in Incident and Problem Management, Alarm Automation, Root Cause Analysis and analysis, audits or investigations in these. (Advantageous)
- Experience or participation could run concurrently or collective 5 years minimum experience.
- Selfstarter who can deal with ambiguity throughout a project lifecycle and is an excellent problem solver. (essential)
- MS Office incl. PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets experience (essential)
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written, and presentation design (Essential)
