    Retail, Food and Fuel Site Manager

    We are seeking an experienced Retail, Food and Fuel Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of a multi-level site. This includes franchised brands: Retail, Quick serve restaurants, Supermarket, Filling station, SMEs such as Butchery, Bakery, Confectionery, Hot & Cold Deli, Fruit & Veg and Liquor departments.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering franchisee relationships, ensuring the continued operational management and expansion of a National Fuel, Retail and QSR Store by driving and developing sales and profitability through business optimization.

    Main Job Functions:

    • Management: Oversee the overall management of the site, including staff supervision and development.
    • Procurement: Source and procure goods and services necessary for the operation of the site.
    • Administration: Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, HR, and record-keeping.
    • Stock Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
    • Wages: Manage employee wages and benefits.
    • Shifts: Coordinate shifts and schedules for employees.
    • HR Duties: Handle HR-related tasks such as recruitment, training, and performance management.
    • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

    Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Minimum 3 years' experience in Fuel & Retail (Petrol / Service Station) Operations / Management, with a focus on full store management functions including fuel, forecourt, convenience shop, and various franchised fast-food and retail outlets.
    • Education: Any tertiary related qualifications or in-house training, or certificates, along with a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
    • Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office and in-house fuel/operations management systems such as ISIS/MIST/ARCH/WINBRANCH.
    • Drivers License: Must have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle.

    Criteria:

    • Energetic: Excellent physical health is required.
    • Leadership Skills: Must be able to delegate tasks effectively.
    • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for effective interactions with Head Office, Corporate Fuel Brands, Customers, and Staff.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
    • Customer Focus: Customer service driven and focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
    • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
    • Multi-Tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Hands-On: Willingness to get involved and take initiative when needed.
    • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Professionalism: Presentable and professional in demeanor and appearance.
    • Health and Safety: Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols and procedures is essential.
