- Identify customer needs through regular client visits to understand how the bank's products and services can meet their financial requirements.
- Request financial information and supporting documentation from clients for finance transactions.
- Receive documents from clients, discuss applications and customer requirements with the Corporate Credit Analyst, and ensure a smooth application process.
- Address queries raised by the Executive Credit Committee regarding finance deals to obtain approval.
- Foster proactive client management, effective communication, client visits, and minimize client complaints. Achieve a minimum of one cross-sale per month from an advance's client to either BB, FX, Wealth, or Deposit.
- Maintain accurate fee allocation to prevent fees unallocated for more than 30 days.
- Manage clients in the SM category below 5% of advances.
- Maintain insurance coverage below 5% of advances.
- Proactively manage 'Other Conditions' and Covenant list.
- Ensure timely completion of NFDs.
- Achieve and maintain arrears below 1% of gross advances.
- Complete trade and asset facility reviews prior to review dates.
- Manage staff performance, recruitment, appraisals, and employee development within the Corporate Branch.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory annual leave policies.
- Act as relief in the absence of the Corporate Manager, overseeing corporate portfolio management and administrative tasks.
- Attend to general staff-related matters.
- Attend management meetings as required, including Exco, ECC, etc.
- Respond to internal and external audit queries when necessary.
- Assist in preparing the Corporate Division's budget for submission to Executives for approval.
- Draft strategies for the Corporate Division to implement in the upcoming year.
- Represent the Bank at functions and events.
- Travel within the region is a requirement.
- A related Commerce/Finance degree is required for optimal competence in this role.
- The incumbent must be FAIS accredited.
- A valid Driver's license is essential.
- Minimum 5 years of banking experience (finance/credit) with at least 2-3 years in a management capacity.
- Prior experience in an Islamic Banking environment is advantageous.
