- As the Director Legal and Compliance, you will work closely with the Managing Director and other members of the Executive Team to ensure the effective delivery of a high-quality legal service in the areas of inter alia Commercial, Corporate, Competition, Contractual and Data Privacy laws
- Managing a legal team which delivers a comprehensive legal service to the Afrox Group, Region Africa and effective management of litigation, dispute, and collections matters
- Participating in the initiatives of and collaborating with the representatives of the Group legal services team, as appropriate, to ensure the transfer of legal knowledge and protecting the company's interests by ensuring compliance with corporate Compliance and governance Management, guidelines and procedures
- Effectively analysing and prioritising legal and commercial assignments including participating in or leading the "due diligence" process an ensuring successful negotiation
- Participating in an accurate interpretation of the company's strategic direction procedures and its execution in business operations and expansionary ventures
- Supporting staff and management with appropriate, pro-active legal and commercial advice, and education to impart a better understanding of the risks and commercial implications
- You possess LLB qualification; and you have already gained 10 to 15 years' experience in a senior Inhouse Legal Counsel role
- You are an admitted Attorney of the High Court of SA with experience inlegal practice, commercial law and transactions, Competition Law, Data Privacyas well as Risk Management and Compliance
