Description
Our client in the agricultural industry is looking for an Agricultural Technician to join their team.

  • Work with colleagues and customers to determine the possible source of machinery problems and define what issues need to be solved.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations on machinery to identify issues and recommend a list of parts to be quoted on.
  • Train a team of technicians on autoguidance systems, correct servicing procedures as well as complex faultfinding procedures.
  • Making use and logging of Technical Help Desk and Parts Helps Desk Queries and training technicians where to find technical manuals.
  • Utilize technological devices to complete diagnostic tests of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Carry out services as per Case IH standards according to the service manual.
  • Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections correctly and to factory standards ensuring the correct documentation SOP is followed.
  • Ensuring the correct warranty procedures are followed on any warranty job.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on working machinery to ensure proper upkeep
  • Assist with advice on special tooling needed.

  • Maintain detailed records of each machine or vehicle, included any maintenance, inspection, or repair services performed
  • Ensure projects are completed effectively and on time
  • Ensure the correct Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure all company equipment/tools are kept in a clean and serviceable condition at all times
  • Any other duties as described by the Service manager
Key Skills

  • Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
  • Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical and problemsolving skills.
  • Have a proactive approach to maintenance of machinery
Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/advanced degree in Agriculture or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills
  • Experience working as Agricultural Technician an will provide an added advantage

Salary:
R500,000.00 per year


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
