    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall risk and compliance, including Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) of the Takealot Operations division. They will also oversee the pursuit of a zero loss culture in the Group, with innovation and value add.

    We offer a competitive salary of R1,200,000 per annum, plus benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years senior managerial experience in a complex environment, preferably in warehousing or logistics.

    About the Role:

    • Manage and direct all operation activities within the distribution center, covering above 50,000 square meters and employing over 500 staff members.
      • ">
    • Drive operational efficiency and excellence through process improvements and best practices.
      • ">
    • Provide leadership and direction to staff, ensuring a high level of productivity and quality performance.
      • ">
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage budget and expenses effectively.
      • ">
    • Develop annual operating budgets in support of the company's financial goals and responsible for P&L management.

    • Control costs through process improvement initiatives and ensure protection and accuracy of inventory.

    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of operations and ability to analyze problems and determine key issues.

    • Supervise and motivate a large staff of managers, employees, and temporary workers.
