    Job Description for Mechatronics Technician

    Main Responsibilities:

    As a Mechatronics Technician at Level-Up, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex industrial systems involving mechanics, conveyors, hydraulics, and control systems. Your duties will include:

    • Maintenance planning and execution
    • Performing mechanical maintenance of equipment according to OEM instructions
    • Root cause analysis and fault finding expertise
    • Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
    • Electrical and control systems knowledge, including Ethernet modules, VSDs, switchgear, contactors, sensors, E-stops, and wiring
    • Managing spare parts stock and purchasing
    • Attending to breakdowns and providing on-site support
    • Working knowledge of electronic circuits, motors, and actuators
    • Understanding of automated control systems and electrical and electronic systems
    • Site safety implementation during projects and service work

    Requirements:

    • Minimum N6 Electrical / Mechatronics / BTech / Advanced diploma in mechatronics engineering or similar
    • A completed apprenticeship or additional courses would be advantageous
    • Minimum 3 Years experience in Automation
    • Mechanical, Electronics, and Electrical Troubleshooting skills
    • Strong understanding of electrical processes
    • Ability to work long hours and weekends
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Good presentational skills
    • Quality Focus and Team player
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
