    Job Title: Consultant Physician - Stroke Medicine

    • Develop an acute frailty pathway and further develop frailty services in collaboration with colleagues.
    • Provide teaching for Junior Doctors, Medical Students, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
    • Share clinical or educational supervisory responsibilities with Consultant colleagues for Junior doctors in training.
    • Undertake personal development and mandatory training to stay up-to-date in the field.
    • Participate in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities within the Trust.
    • Pursue Clinical trials and research opportunities.
    • Collaborate closely with other specialist teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
    • Work with managers and professional colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery.
    • Assist with administrative duties related to patient care and clinical area management.
    • Contribute to business plan preparation and Booked Appointment Systems.
    • Engage in research/teaching projects and courses, demonstrating interest in professional development.
    • Participate in Consultant Appraisal and Job Plan processes, ensuring continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    • Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
    • Specialist Registration for Geriatrics and GIM, MRCP.
    • Entry on the GMC specialist register via relevant CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), relevant CESR or European Community Rights.
    • Demonstrate high-level clinical experience and competence in Geriatrics and GIM.
    • Hold Completed Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in Geriatrics or equivalent competency evidence.
    • Exhibit excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers, and staff.
    • Able to take full, independent responsibility for clinical patient care.

    Salary Information:

    The salary for this permanent Consultant position is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, plus an £8,000 relocation package.
