Description
1. Provide support and maintain the voice infrastructure.

  • Monitor voice servers, SIP trunks and gateways for problems (Switchboard system, Call mangers, Transcoders, Session Boarder Controllers, and voice gateways)
  • Create user profiles on the cisco phones; add phones and user profiles to call managers; allocate to relevant groups and create hunting groups
  • Create user profiles on the soft phones; configure extensions and allocate to relevant groups and create different forwarding options
  • Create integrations with external parties for automatic loading of leads and create different campaigns (SMS campaigns, TV ads etc.)
  • Provide support to endusers for cisco handsets and call center soft phones
  • Provide IP Telephony troubleshooting of all Assupol voice systems.
  • Configure and support polycom and cisco phones teleconferencing.
  • Support and maintain billing system (voice engine) (MAN3000)
  • Monitor recording of calls on cisco handsets and Real Connect
  • Monitor that voice loggers' servers are operational and attend to errors received.
  • Provide end to end support for the Call Center telephony system.
  • Perform trunk traffic analysis.
  • Conduct weekly cisco telephony and call center voice system backups.
  • Conduct backups of switches and when changes occur
  • Configure and monitor LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot switches and network links when problems occur.
  • Configure and support LAN switches.
  • Monitor data lines and check performance in Head Office and branches.
  • Liaise and correspond with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers.
  • Conduct proof of concept when required.
  • Report and follow up on faulty lines
  • Provide reports
  • Submit performance reports and servers monthly
Submit reports on the telephony system performance on a monthly basis

Knowledge and Skills

Formal Education

  • IT related degree/diploma
Technical/Legal Certification

  • N+
  • CCNA/CCNP Collaboration a must
  • CCNA/CCNPF Routing & Switching An advantage.
  • CCNA Wireless an advantage.
Experience

  • IT experience: 5 years minimum
  • Insurance industry experience: 3 years (Advantage)
