ROLE PROFILE / LOCATION:
A Permanent Specialist Management Level Role in the FMCG Industry based in Eastern Johannesburg (Gauteng)


REMUNERATION DATA:
R1.5m Total Annual Cost to Company including Benefits: Standard Corporate Benefits (excludes Short-Term Incentives)


JOB SUMMARY:

My Client is in search of a suitably qualified and experienced individual to assume the above-mentioned role within their Shared Financial Services Division.

The successful incumbent will manage all customer credit approval and collections and all related operational requirements, focussing on the timely collection of debt aligned with group credit policy and latest legislation & practices.

They will manage all receivables financial reporting, including provisioning and trade costs accruals and payments and manage the Sales Administration function for the Group ensuring all necessary procedures and policies are in place.

They will also create sustainable motivation and talent development within the AR function and also build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.


Specific outputs will include:

  • Managing Accounts Receivable Department by implementing and maintaining proper procedures and internal controls to improve the collection of debt and all other support functions
  • Ensure efficient team management and personal motivation and development
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders by ensuring a high % of accounts paid on/before due date and a low number of accounts "on hold"
  • Assist internal and external auditors with all information and feedback requested

CRITERIA / REQUIREMENTS

  • Credit Management Diploma or equivalent Diploma or Degree
  • Minimum 10 years FMCG management experience
  • Familiarity with IFRS
  • Experience with ERP Systems (i.e. Oracle)
  • A strategic thinker with strong communication (written, verbal & presentation) ande leadership skills
  • Relevant finance background

KPI's will include:

  • Improvement of the working capital ratio
  • Achievement of a low staff turnover to retain human capital investment
  • Achievement of satisfied customers by ensuring excellent service
