- Maintain and report on the Professional Development Portfolio.
- Provide support for professional development related activities.
- Database management and recordkeeping of professional development activities.
- Monitor continuous professional development and statutory registration of health and social service practitioners.
- Assist in the roll-out of capacity building initiatives.
- Implement transformation programmes and people empowerment interventions.
- Assist management support staff in all administrative duties.
- An appropriate post-school qualification (Certificate/Diploma/NQF level 5 or higher qualification).
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- A valid code 08 Drivers' licence.
- Knowledge of National and Provincial instruments and legislation pertaining to human resources management.
- Skills in record management systems, procurement, computer literacy, and communication.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound judgments.
- Sound organizing, planning, and time management skills.

The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government seeks a suitably qualified and competent individual to operationalise the implementation of Professional Development Programmes for the department.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and reporting on the Professional Development Portfolio, including collation of departmental inputs for reports. They will provide support for professional development related activities, manage databases and records of professional development activities, and monitor continuous professional development and statutory registration of health and social service practitioners.
