Description
Ensure compliance with all SHEQ company policies and standards and procedures.

  • Drive and champion the implementation of the AECI ZERO Harm programme and SHEQ Framework
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and response plans are implemented and tested.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Legislation and Permits (including Environmental)
  • Prepares and submission of AECI Environmental & Occupational SHEQ stats
  • Implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 4500
  • Assist in the development, support and training of SHEQ action plans to achieve objectives and targets
  • Conduct safety inspections, HIRA (risk assessments), Audits and/or surveys and compile detailed reports as needed
  • Management of Process Safety program (implementation, analysis and auditing) on site
  • Assist departments in conducting quarterly planned job observations, Departmental drills and SHE Committee meetings
  • Schedule and track all occupational safety surveys, deviations and corrective actions
  • Management of Incident investigation system / database and monthly status reporting
  • Coordinate medical surveillance programme including follow up on actions required
  • Ensures all relevant contractors qualify with Contractor program and comply with all rules and standards
  • Arranges and coordinates any SHEQ training as needed
  • Accountable for fostering a proactive and conducive safety culture to support AECI's SHEQ standards, policies and company SHEQ targets

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Matric / Grade 1
  • National diploma or suitable qualification in SHEQ Management
  • Minimum 3 years' experience onsite SHEQ manufacturing
  • ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 Understanding and Implementation
  • Auditor Training
  • Incident investigation training
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training
  • ITIS/Train the trainer
  • Legal Compliance Training
  • Experience / training in Process Safety principles
  • Excellent computer skills (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Must have a drivers licence
