Manage mining operations safely, efficiently, and costeffectively to meet shortterm and longterm production and safety objectives.
Ensure that the Mining function contributes in its entirety to the company's long term business strategy by adding real business value, contributing strategic information, and codesigning and implementing growth programs.
Present the Operational 35year plan (including annual budget) to Management as a basis for informed and confident long, medium, and shortterm business decisions by collating information, reports, indicators, assessments, reviews, and audits.
Ensure correct resources are available to deliver business targets (e

g:
product quality and volume).

Provide visible felt leadership in safety, sustainable development, and company values.
The implementation of management systems to ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and leading practices.
Create, develop, mentor, and motivate effective management, operational, maintenance and technical teams.
Be accountable for continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives for mining processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Completed BEng, BSc or BTech degree in Mining Engineering
Current holder of a Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
A minimum of 10 years of operational mining experience, with 5 years underground mechanised experience and 5 years within a management role
Valid driver's license code B, EB, and own reliable transport
Good general health and a certificate of fitness (Red Ticket)
