Description
Responsible for preparing and analysing consolidated monthly, interim and annual financial statements.


The individual will ensure that the financial results of subsidiaries are properly reported in terms of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The position coordinates with subsidiaries, Business Units, Internal and External Auditors. Hyperion and SAP experience is a pre-requisite.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Statutory Reporting
  • The preparation of monthly, interim and annual consolidated financial statements including analyzing data from subsidiaries and business units.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balances and preparation of related elimination entries
  • Assist in development and implementation of consolidation process improvements
  • Assist in verifying the accuracy of financial data presented in SENS announcements and press releases
  • Assists in the management of monthend close processes
  • Assist in audit process through the preparation of schedules and communications with external auditors
  • Prepare the monthly, interim and yearend cashflow for the Company and the Group
  • Assist with the postemployment benefit accounting and valuation process

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION
Registration with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) required


QUALIFICATIONS - Chartered Accountant (CA SA) (NQF level 8)


EXPERIENCE 3+ years post-article experience, 2 of which must be in a statutory reporting role. Knowledge in preparing consolidated financial statements.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver's licence Security clearanceintegrity assessment experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting

Salary:
R600, R900,000.00 per year

  • Edenvale, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
