    Job Summary

     

    Michelle Taylor Recruitment is seeking a skilled Accounting Operations Manager to join our team on a temporary 8-month assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial forecasting.

     

    Main Responsibilities

     

    • Manage Accounting Operations: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance manager to prepare financial forecasts, including budgeting and variance analysis.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, including tax returns and other compliance requirements.
    • Technical Accounting: Research and resolve technical accounting issues, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

     

    Requirements

     

    • Financial Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a financial or accounting qualification an advantage.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and email, with experience in Sage Evolution or similar accounting software.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a stable track record.

     

    Working Conditions:

     

    This is a temporary 8-month assignment, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the finance team and management to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting function.
