    The dealership in Polokwane has an exciting and potentially lucrative opportunity for a Used/Precious Vehicle Sales Manager. The Used Car Sales Manager is responsible for sourcing and buying stock, handling evaluations and trade-ins, and working closely with the sales team to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Sourcing and buying stock to optimize vehicle inventory and meet sales requirements.
    2. Maximizing sales and profitability by ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
    3. Developing a sales organization to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
    4. Controlling costs within budget parameters.
    5. Maintaining adequate product display materials.
    6. Reviewing pricing policies, discounts, and trade-in deals to maintain dealership profitability.
    7. Monitoring sales department financial performance weekly.
    8. Resolving customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
    9. Ensuring vehicles are delivered according to OEM quality and safety standards.
    10. Meeting customer satisfaction/expectation targets.
    11. Managing direct and indirect costs within company-prescribed parameters.
    12. Providing new model launch training to Sales Executives.
    13. Determining staffing levels and required training to achieve sales objectives.
    14. Monitoring floorplan activities.
    15. Maintaining stock levels within company policy requirements.
    16. Maximizing back-end product sales.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in vehicle sales within the motor industry, with a focus on used car sales.
    • A track record of accurate vehicle valuations, setting, and adjusting prices.
    • Prior experience in a sales management role, managing a sales team to achieve objectives and guide effective sales processes.
    • A successful sales track record.
    • A solid track record of sourcing and buying stock, evaluating vehicles.
    • Sales compliance management experience.
    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A relevant tertiary qualification NQF6+ (e.g., sales/marketing/business management) - an added advantage.
    • A valid, unendorsed driver's license and ability to drive competently.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office and dealer lead management system.
    • Knowledge of dealership policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of the competitive motor industry.
