    Purpose of the Job

    The purpose of the Business Development Officer role is to play a collaborative role between the Distribution Centre and stores to ensure the timely distribution of Financial Services products. The role is also responsible to ensure that Master Data is captured correctly, and products pricing is in line with the information on SAP. The role reports to the Senior Business Development Manager and works closely with different stakeholders to execute business requirements.

  • Ensure gift card stock are sent from the Distribution Centre to the stores.
  • Ensure the bar codes and article codes are created on SAP for the specific brands.
  • Ensure the pricing, (de)ranging of all Financial Services products are correctly linked to the master data on SAP.
  • Plan the stock to stores.
  • Report on stores with no sales regularly against the budget.
  • Support tasks for portfolio budget achievement.
  • Solve problems with the Distribution Centre to ensure stores are efficiently stocked.
  • Engage with Data Management team to resolve Financial Services products tasks.
  • Load bonus buys for promotions.
  • Ensure New Store Projects tasks are actioned.
  • Qualifications
  • Grade 12 certificate (essential).
  • Experience
  • +2 years' experience in related field.
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP.
  • Knowledge of retail business.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills – able to interact, engage and maintain professional relationships with people at all levels of the corporate structure.
