2x Data Analyst-Researcher's are required to undertake the following functions: data processing and management (e.g.

collation, cleaning,
vetting, data quality assurance and verification using correct protocols) and processing confidential data and information according to guidelines; deep data analysis using relevant software and determining the best way to represent data visually to managers and stakeholders; and assist in generating data reports (including tables and graphs) based on queries.


  • REQUIREMENTS
  • Honours in statistics, econometrics, mathematics (with a strong statistical component)
  • At least two years of experience in the relevant field
  • Relevant prior learning may be considered
  • Extensive knowledge of Stata
    or SPSS (2 years minimum experience)
  • Conduct and manage processes such as data capture, cleaning, quality assurance, verification and analysis.
  • Clean data and analyse data (minimum 2 years' experience).
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Understanding and knowledge to operate database systems
  • Use data to write standard or customised reports from findings
  • Must have a valid driver's licence
  • Must have a South African ID or a valid work permit

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate large amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Detailoriented.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presentation of findings.
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in highpressure situations.
  • Good command of oral and written English
  • Sound quantitative data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate well with clients/users
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment
PREFERRED- A masters-level qualification would be an advantage

  • Experience in sampling and weighting will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of other statistical packages will be an added advantage (R-Programming)
