Our company is design oriented and manufactures standard and customised product solutions for the architectural, rail, commercial and industrial industries.
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk in Cape Town. The purpose of the role is to keep financial records updated, prepare reports and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
If you are mature, a self-starter who doesn't need to be micromanaged, have problem solving skills, analytical, organised and have a high level of integrity, then this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day processing of accounts payable
- Reconcile and maintain all creditor accounts
- Ensure supplier statements are received
- Obtain credit notes when needed
- Complete monthly recons of creditors accounts to supplier statement
- Process month end JNLS (accruals, depreciations, etc)
- Day to day processing of accounts payable
- Reconcile and maintain all creditors accounts for payments Weekly/Monthly
- Validate and post invoices
- Prepare files for payment run
- Forward transfer proofs/receipts to suppliers
- Attend to supplier queries
- Maintain a current and accurate filing system
- Assist with general administration and financial duties
- Perform reconciliations and analysis when requested
- Any other task that management may reasonably assign to you
Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes
- Grade 12 or equivalent SAQA approved qualification
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience OR
- Relevant tertiary qualification with 3 or more years relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programmes
- ERP system experience essential
- Manufacturing environment experience advantageous
Salary:
R12, R17,000.00 per month
